It is in fact used for restoring insulation and for the outer covering of LV cables and wherever optimal mechanical characteristics are required for resistance to impact, abrasion, general weathering including UV radiation, or for use in under water environments. Used for the insulation of bars or naked LV connections with optimal mechanical resistance for sealing, especially if used with hot-melt adhesive, and for anti-corrosion protection.
